Tesco Ireland pledges support to the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal in support of their humanitarian relief efforts

At Tesco, our thoughts are with the people affected by the Ukraine crisis and with all those impacted at such a difficult and worrying time.

From Friday 4th March to Thursday 10th March, colleagues and customers at Tesco Ireland can donate from €1 at checkout at any of our 152 stores nationwide or when they shop online at Tesco.ie. Tesco Ireland will then match the donation of funds raised by colleagues and customers in aid of the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

For the month of March, Tesco Mobile Ireland is providing free calls and texts from Ireland to Ukraine, to help colleagues or customers who are maintaining contact with family or friends currently. We’re also providing free roaming calls, texts and data for customers who are roaming in Ukraine and wish to contact friends or family in Ukraine or back in Ireland.

Tesco Group is supporting humanitarian relief efforts through our partnerships with the Red Cross, food banks and other relief organisations. Tesco has made a €1.2million (£1 million GBP) donation to the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal to support their vital work. The first donations of food, hygiene products and clothing left depots in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia on 26 February. Tesco Group will continue to work closely with official relief organisations in all three countries, as well as local governments.
