Pledging support to the Irish Red Cross Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal

Tesco Ireland is holding a week-long instore appeal from Saturday 18th – Saturday 25th Feb to help the people affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
Colleagues and customers can donate €1 or more at the checkout of any of our stores to the Irish Red Cross Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal.
This latest fundraising drive follows an earlier €25,000 donation made to the Irish Red Cross to help their Turkish and Syrian Red Crescent colleague provide search and rescue support as well as shelter, food and medicine in the most affected areas.
Tesco Mobile is providing customers who are contacting loved ones in these devastated areas, free calls and texts from Ireland to Turkey and Syria until February 22nd.
While, Tesco Group is also supporting humanitarian relief efforts through partnerships with the Red Cross, food banks and other relief organisations. In total, they’ve donated €562,000 (£500,000) to the relief efforts through donations across all our markets.
